 6) Online marketing

6.1 Using Google Ads conversion tracking

This website uses the online advertising program Google Ads and, in connection with Google Ads, the conversion tracking feature of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). We use the offer of Google Ads in order to draw attention to our attractive offers by means of advertising material (so-called Google Ads) on external websites. We can determine, in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns, how successful the individual advertising activities are. We thereby pursue the aim of showing you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

The conversion tracking cookie is placed when a user clicks on an ad served by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer system. As a rule, these cookies expire after 30 days and do not personally identify a user. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, then Google and we can see that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Every Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be traced across the websites of other Ads customers. The information collected by conversion cookies only serves to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have decided to use conversion tracking. Customers find out the total number of users who have clicked on their ads and who have been redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any information that could be used to identify users personally. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can block it by disabling the cookie of Google conversion tracking in the user settings of your internet browser. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google Ads based on our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. In these exceptional cases, processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide us with other services related to website usage and internet activity. The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be associated by Google with any other data.
